Maggie Slowey is a media relations associate on the Communications team.

Prior to joining Mellon, she served as co-director of the NYU Democracy Project, the institution’s inaugural civic action and voting rights program. Her experience in legislative advocacy and communications spans issue areas including minimum wage reform, prison reform, and voting access.

She holds a BA in business administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business and an MPA in advocacy and political action from New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Maggie also serves on the junior board of the Women’s Prison Association.
